Translational Tobacco Reduction Research Program (T2R2) Enhances the health and well being of youth by reducing tobacco, alcohol and other drug use as well as promoting healthy living.

Goals

Collaboration and Leadership: Advance the field of health promotion and disease prevention by providing leadership and collaborative decision-making in prevention research, research translation, and the promotion of evidence-based public health policy and practice.

Research: Contribute to the scientific basis of health promotion and disease prevention by conducting and translating high quality, rigorous, and innovative determinant, intervention, and dissemination research.

Community Capacity Building: Identify and develop sustainable community resources to promote the adoption of healthy lifestyles.

Public Health Professional Workforce Capacity Building: Enhance the capacity of local, state, and regional public health professionals through education and training in community-identified areas to positively impact community and population health.
