After receiving her Associate's Degree from West Virginia Business College in 1997, she began working as an Administrative Secretary for the WVU Upward Bound and McNair Scholars Program and later for the WVU Center for Rural Emergency Medicine (CREM). She joined PRC as an Administrative Associate in October of 2004.
