Translational Tobacco Reduction Research Program (T2R2) Enhances the health and well being of youth by reducing tobacco, alcohol and other drug use as well as promoting healthy living.

 

 

Cecil Pollard, MA

Mr. Pollard received his master's degree from WVU with a specialty in survey research methods in 1982. He started work at the OHSR in April, 1982. Since joining OHSR he has been involved in many of the health initiatives in the state. These include: Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center Core Grant, the initial Prevention Research Center Grant, the Breast and Cervical Cancer Planning Grant, Center for Rural Emergency Medicine, Rural Health Education Partnerships, Health Sciences Technology Academy, and many other state and regional research and service projects.

His primary focus has been applied research efforts in West Virginia, with strong collaboration with state and federal agencies. In addition he has received funding from the Bennedum, Robert Wood Johnson, and Kellogg foundations. Federal funding has been received from the Centers for Disease Control, National Cancer Institute, and Appalachian Regional Commission.
